How I Almost Let Go Of My Pet Project

Today was different in many ways. I woke up and decided to put an end to a pet project due to one major reason.

Getting stuck.

A few months ago I understood why I was embarking on the adventure and then after a few hurdles of some sort, it all seemed like i lost track of such.

We all have those moments. Times when nothing seems to be going right.

But then rather than whine, I took the bull by the horn and pulled out completely.

Turning deaf ears to all my adventurous investments in the pet project.

Ignoring the possibilities of the pet project really going BIG. Like really BIG.

And simply walking away from all of it.

Spoke to friend about it afterwards and he said just one word “WHY“.

WHY?

To him, everything would makes sense if he could just see my WHY. After paying close attention and listening to my WHY.

Here’s what he said:

“All you said are just the distractions from your main focus. Patience is required in any investment. Give it some time”.

I love the theoretical aspect of ‘Patience’. Yeah, I know its a virtue, but when it comes to being practical, it can be quite frustrating to say the least.

But then the turning point was when he reminded me of my WHY – the real reason i embarked upon it (My WHY) and it became really easy to let go of all distractions and focus.

So friends,
Do your calculations
Remember your WHY
Figure out your WHAT & HOW
Give yourself a little Patience
Surround yourself with those who never forget your WHY
Ultimately, Never Give Up.

When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.

If you can’t fly, run.
If you can’t run, walk.
If you can’t walk, crawl.
But KEEP Moving
